How it works

Tell us where everyone is setting off from. An entry can be a single airport, a whole city's airports, a US state, a Canadian province or a European country, depending on how flexible that person is. MeetYouThere finds the cities everyone can reach on a direct flight, and leads with the ones actually worth travelling to, chosen from the options that keep the longest journey close to the fairest one available, so the shortlist is somewhere you would want to go rather than whichever airport happens to be the biggest hub. You can re-sort by flight time or by price. No account is needed, and the whole search lives in the link, so you can send it to the group chat and everyone opens the same shortlist.

Who it's for

Groups arrive here for a handful of recurring reasons: a family reunion with relatives scattered across countries, a company offsite or team retreat for people who work remotely from different cities, a hen or stag do (a bachelorette or bachelor party) where the guest list is spread across the map, or a long-distance couple looking for a weekend somewhere neither of them lives. The problem is the same every time: ordinary flight search takes one starting point at a time, so somebody ends up comparing a dozen searches by hand.

Where it covers

MeetYouThere searches direct flight routes across Europe, the United States and Canada: 1,119 airports in 51 countries, 618 of them available as starting points, and 24,811 direct routes between them. Covering two regions properly matters more than skimming the busiest airports of the whole world, because a meeting point is only useful if the airport someone actually lives near is in the data. Groups can meet across the US–Canada border, because the two share plenty of direct service. We only show destinations that everyone can reach without a connection, because finding a fair meeting point means making the journey work for everyone. Transatlantic routes are not available yet, so if your group is split between Europe and North America we'll tell you rather than suggest destinations that only work for some travellers.

What you see for each city

For each destination, you'll see the direct flight options for each traveller, including estimated flight times and a simple price guide to help compare options. When you've found a destination you like, you can follow a link to search real flights and dates. Flight times are estimated using route distances rather than live airline schedules, and our route data is regularly updated.
